We Believe !
We believe that all children should be provided a nurturing, active, and challenging environment that encourages curiosity, active learning, values, problem solving, language development, and a positive self-image. To meet these goals, the teaching staff supports a hands-on environment by implementing specific learning centers throughout the classroom including blocks, creative arts, sensory/science, library, dramatic play, and manipulatives. The children are provided with a wide variety of materials at each center: Legos, puzzles, puppets, cooking equipment, crayons, markers, stickers, paper, glue, paint, dolls, dress up clothes, play food, dishes, magnifying glasses, prisms, plants, animals, books, tapes, scissors, and math manipulatives.
Amy & Traelynn are the owners and operators of Hooligan’s. Amy holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education & Trae is working towards her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Administration. However, Hooligans wouldn’t be possible if not for the awesome staff we have. We believe that it is important that the children are valued, nurtured and respected as individuals. It is our role as educators to assume responsibility for each child’s personal and educational development while they are in our care. We have implemented a curriculum in order to stimulate and challenge the diverse range of needs, talents, cultures and interests of all children. As a team of educators, we will support the children’s progress throughout their learning journey by continual observation, planning, documentation, evaluation and reflection. We have a passion for children and strive every day to meet their needs. We have so many fun activities planned for the upcoming year! We have an awesome staff who are caring, loving, and passionate about children. All staff have been trained in pediatric CPR and first aid, child abuse & neglect and safe sleep. They continue to further their knowledge with monthly training sessions. Each staff member must complete 40+ hours of training per year, to advance their professional knowledge

We will provide an environment that allows children to learn through play– moving from concrete, hands-on experiences to more abstract concept development. Our priority is to provide a healthy balance of child-directed and teacher-guided activities, as well as time for children to work individually, in small groups and in large groups. We believe that a stable, safe, healthy, comfortable, and culturally relevant environment is crucial to a child’s growth. Academy is committed to providing your children with quality care by encouraging each child to express
themselves through language, art, music, and physical activity with the emphasis on learning through
play-in which they are building socialization and self-help skills that build up their self-esteem, which is
needed to succeed in all areas of life.
Every child/family that comes through our doors will be treated with love and respect so that
when they leave here they will be able to pass on the love and respect to others that they have been
shown.
